Breaking Dress Regs

Thought provoking podcast, led by Valour's Giselle Drew Walsh, delving into resiliency, leadership, and frontline issues.

Breaking Dress Regs originally started in 2021 with the purpose of giving a voice to veterans who are working on their own initiatives within their communities, but what about the name?

What does Breaking Dress Regs really mean?

Originally the Dress Regulations of the Canadian Armed Forces were rigid and required strict adherence by all members. The detail given to the dress and deport standards also was reflective of how serving, and retired, members held themselves with regards to their mental health.

Breaking Dress Regs means to break down the barriers and stigmas surrounding mental health and post traumatic stress illnesses giving the space for guests to speak to their resiliency and experience.
